Here are some things in the past 12 months that have made us ask, “are you fucking kidding me?”

 

• When we saw (and saw, and saw again) the GOP attempt to shit out a healthcare plan without CBO analysis, any bipartisan support, or public vetting (it’s not pretty when a bunch of 70+ year old men try to tip-toe around - they don’t have the arch support).

• When we learned that Trevor Noah is not single

• When we found out that Tim Murphy was pro-life in the streets, and pro-choice in the sheets… I mean REALLY?

• When we discovered that a $100+ vibrator does not come with free shipping nor a "satisfaction guarantee”

• When we learned that Mark Zuckerberg was not, in fact, the responsible NJB that we went to camp with

 

Needless to say, we’re dazed and confused….and have kind of fucking had it with all this shit. So instead of hearing, seeing, learning from other people, we’re going to try to figure something out ourselves.

 

At are you fucking kidding me, we’ll write (vent?) about this crazy time. We want to present a refreshing and honest perspective...definitely not like those study abroad blogs your friends had that claimed living in Copenhagen “changed their life” (Sarah had one about Prague). We’ll bring you commentary, humor and hopefully, explanations about what the fuck is going on. We’ll bring you levity and clarity, two things that are severely lacking right now and are always better together.

 

In that spirit, here are some promises about what you will (and won’t) find here:

 

• Satire - We resolve to turn to humor to keep ourselves and you sane during a fucking insane time.

• Side by side - For issues that need both levity and clarity, we resolve to give you both, using a split screen.

• Millennials guide to - we resolve to help you navigate this new and scary world through our own trials and errors

• Explanations - We resolve to try, when we can, to actually figure out what the fuck is going on

 

Most of all, we’ll NEVER take bullshit seriously (we resolve to NEVER host one of those CNN panels with 30 people talking over each other about an unfounded tweet) so we can get to making you laugh and making you think.
